We had the cushion made for this chair on the right, and it was delivered yesterday (with some cafe curtains that I don't have pics for yet, but they are really pretty).
We are about to put a chair like the one below with a skirt in brown linen in a client's house.
chair from Martha Stewart for BernhardtI have been pondering this parsons armchair below for my own living room. I could get it made with a skirt - or not. Can't decide...

You do the loveliest posts, Helen!
ReplyDeleteDo folks sit in your red painted cherub chair? It reminds me of one in a consignment shop that got away.
ReplyDeleteThe painted chair is a little wobbly - you can sit in it, but it's mostly just pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to non-skirt for the Parsons chair, unless you already have a lot of leggy chairs in your living room. I think the visual interest in the Parson's is in the straight lines and with a skirt you eliminate much of that.
ReplyDeleteFirst cannot wait to see the whole room with the black and white chair; it looks fab! I second Capella on the no skirt parsons! Ballard has some really great reasonably priced options, don't they! I do however wish they would send you a decent size fabric swatch. Who can tell anything from those 1"by1" squares ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the wolves your aunt does. They somehow remind me of me, long legs, kind of wandering, alone ...
