What a beauty! The main block of the house is outstanding! But I would have liked to have seen an adjustment to those grouped windows on the right which I presume was surely not original. Despite that, it is a lovely, inspirational house! I would like to invite you and your readers to visit my new blog, The Devoted Classicist at http://tdclassicist.blogspot.com. The graphics still need to be tweaked and the features developed, but it is finally up. __John J Tackett
Shutze with CLAPBOARDS!!! Party on. It's not in "the book;" there is nothing like it in "the book." Three things: It amazes me how Shutze's doors seem small. They can be very elaborate, but small. Even Harris Hall and Emory Hospital, have people sized doors. Two, the pilasters are very elaborate for a clap board. The pilasters are in keeping with the seriously chunky dentils. Three, it's a vision, maybe the class of a very classy street.
Good to see it rid of overgrown foundation plantings. Thanks so much.
