from the Gallery:
"EMILY AMY GALLERY is pleased to present Re-purposed: The Use of Everyday Materials in Contemporary Art featuring gallery artists Sara Cole, Will Corr, Clayton Santiago, and Sherry Williams. The concept of utilizing found objects and ordinary household materials in contemporary art is not new. There is a strong lineage of artists, beginning with the Dadaists, who repurposed things never before considered 'art' and in turn gave them new life. By exploring media such as coffee, tar, sawdust, and rust, the participating artists express their ability to create seemingly traditional work with non-traditional materials."

  1. Love the artists, love the galleries.

  2. If you do things right you can hit both places. I'm sure the architecture tourist crowd will be at Peters Street and the rest of the Castleberry Stroll. Everybody should see the Peters Street and the adjoining Besharart Gallery next door. Both are spectacular spaces.

  3. It's going to be a great night for art. Thanks for the Helen Durant update.
