House of the Week
A beautiful Ansley Park house that I have loved for years! Used to drive by it for inspiration when we were building our house. Lots of similarities with mine, narrow lot, tall house, 3 windows over 2, Federal and Greek Revival influences...

PS - The pictures were a little hurried because I snapped them on the way to the pool and my children were in the car complaining that we had stopped again to take house photos. When the dogs next door went berserk I took that as my cue to leave.

I know that house!!!!
ReplyDeletei love that house! and i love that you were doing driveby shots! :)
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. I cruise by this one twice a week. It's next to the "house of girls." Right now the landscaping is so good, the gravel, the scrolly bench, the urns the rough brick walk. This place is "done!" Over the weekend I discovered the "Ionic Temple on the Ilissus" which seems to be the mother-ship of the Greek revivals we love so much.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved this house too! Such a great one.
ReplyDeleteI'm still stuck on your cemetary post...I MUST get out to the local and ancient one! sorry...
