House of the Week

Brookhaven Beauty

I drove by this house last week and noticed it immediately. It's charm and detail draw you right in. I particularly like the rail above the porches. This house is for sale and Beacham and Co. has the listing.

  1. You must be in your car every day, driving around, looking for great architecture to post. You put so much effort and research into blogging...it's a wonder you have time left for your job!

  2. Helen you have an eye for great houses, although I hope you weren't up at 3:42am!

  3. I cruised this one today on my errands. What a great porch. This look has been great for 2500 years. The picture in no way conveys how big this house is. It rambles and rambles in the back. Brookwood is house museum in a park; the lots are such that houses can't hide from the street. I do have a slight favorite, a Charleston style double house with double black doors to the porch. Know that one? I've never gotten a good picture.
